Vila Alba Resort, Carvoeiro (Lagoa)

This resort offers breathtaking surroundings and a true escape from the hustle of everyday life. The apartments are spacious and functional, making it a good choice for families. The staff is warm and genuinely caring, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere, although I did find some aspects of the service a bit slow. While the resort is well-maintained and provides beautiful views, the dining options could use some improvement, particularly in variety. Overall, it’s a great spot for those who appreciate nature and a more relaxed pace.

This hotel is a hidden gem nestled away from the hustle and bustle, offering breathtaking views and a comfortable stay. Our villa was spacious and well-equipped, perfect for families. However, the breakfast could be improved, and the service at the restaurant was lacking during our visits. While the pools provided a relaxing atmosphere, the restaurant experience fell short of expectations.

The Alba Suites offers a stunning cliff-top location with beautiful beach access, making it a blissful getaway. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though they show some signs of age. However, the service was inconsistent, with some staff appearing less than cheerful. Dining options were decent but a bit overpriced and limited, especially for breakfast. A car is essential for exploring the nearby areas, as the hotel is quite remote.

We recently spent three nights at this lovely resort for a wedding and enjoyed our stay overall. The apartments were clean, spacious, and furnished to a high standard, making for a comfortable experience. However, the dining at the restaurant fell short of expectations, with service issues and food quality that wasn't reflective of a five-star dining experience. Additionally, there was a minor maintenance issue with our shower causing water puddling. Still, the beautiful setting greatly enhanced our visit.
